Mike O'Neale

When Mike left school he didn't know what he wanted to do but he did know he didn't want to go to work. So, he went to University studying to complete a Batchelor of Arts Degree majoring in History and English with the idea originally of becoming a secondary school teacher. Mike then changed direction and completed a Law Degree while working for the Government part-time.

When he graduated, Mike moved to New Plymouth for some years before moving to Mount Maunganui in 1981. He has been a "Mountie" ever since.

Mike has a very active property practice and works with trusts, business structures and property conveyancing. His speciality area of expertise is land development and he has worked alongside many local developers, completing complex and difficult subdivisions and unit title developments. Mike attends seminars and conferences which keep him at the leading edge of property work. He helps with staff education within the firm sharing his knowledge and helping with more difficult matters.

The last few years have seen a huge amount of growth and change in the Bay of Plenty. Mike's practice has moved with these changes and has created a wealth of local knowledge to the benefit of all members of our firm.

In his time away from work Mike enjoys the interests of his family - wife, Andrea, a daughter and grandchild in Auckland, a son at Auckland University studying History and Law (a chip off the old block?) and a daughter at College in Tauranga. As time permits Mike enjoys jet skiing and snow skiing and can occasionally be seen (in lycra!) on his road bike around the streets.
