Kylee Hunt

Growing up in rural New Zealand, Kylee knew that a corner office on the 11th floor in the 'big smoke' was never going to be for her from an early age. With single-minded determination, she set out for a career in the legal profession.

After graduating from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Management Studies (with first class honours) and Bachelor of Laws Conjoint Degree, Kylee quickly realised that her passion lay in Commercial Law.

Kylee was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2005, and after a brief introduction to general practice with a Rotorua law firm, she joined Lyon O'Neale Arnold in 2006 where she narrowed her focus and became highly involved in aspects of Commercial Law and assisting commercial clients, be they large or small, and has not looked back.

At Lyon O'Neale Arnold we work hard but play even harder. The Partners emphasised from day one the need to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Kylee is a keen runner and road cyclist, and applies the same single-minded determination to running marathons as she does to her career. Currently Kylee has completed three marathons, two off-road marathons, and numerous half-marathons both on and off-road. Kylee also plays squash and is a member of the Tauranga Squash Club. Other extra-vocational pursuits include flying, Kylee currently holds a New Zealand Private Pilot's License and has completed the theory component of a New Zealand Commercial Pilot's License.

Each day brings its own challenges and successes, and with a view to longevity Kylee looks forward to her future with Lyon O'Neale Arnold where she intends to maintain her commercial focus, but being a rural lass at heart she is also interested in developing her expertise in the areas of Environmental and Resource Management Law, which no doubt will bring its own challenges and successes!
