Doug Lyon

Doug joined the firm in 1977. His legal education was at Auckland University which was followed by employment in a leading Auckland law firm and in England.

Doug's initial positions involved a full range of legal work including criminal, family and civil litigation but for the last two decades he has specialised in property, business, company and trust law while still retaining interest and expertise in wider fields. Doug has developed particular interest and expertise in trust law and administration and believes he would well have established more trusts than any other local lawyer.

Doug is firmly entrenched in the Bay and balances legal work with a full range of hobbies and interests. His main outside focuses are racing and cruising the family yacht and flying including being a tow pilot for the Tauranga Gliding club.
